Ok, I have been shopping around for a cam recently and I am a little confused about a couple of things and am uncertain about which cam I should choose. The NISMO R4 cam seems to be a popular choice but the specs on it are a little disturbing. I read that the R4 cam has .402 lift and 270 degrees of duration. I also read, however, that the stock cam has .415 lift and 258 duration. If this is true then how could the R4 cam be better with less lift? Anyways, my main question is what is a good cam to buy? The only 2 cams I have been able to find are the NISMO and Colt through the PDM racing site. I'm basically looking for a cam that I cam bolt in without any internal mods such as pistons or bigger valve springs. Idle isn't too much of a concern since I have a 5 speed and mst of my driving is at highway speed. As always, I'd love to get any input on this.
Thanks,
Phil
