anyone know the different between the SOHC and DOHC transmission?

I went to a wrecking yard and saw a SOHC transmission laying on the ground. It looks slightly fatter than my DOHC's.

Will the SOHC transmission bolt on to DE sngine with no modification?

Thanks

I was wondering the same thing because I have an extra dohc transmission but I'd rather leave my sohc transmission in when I do the swap, less work and if it ever goes bad I'll have an extra. Thanks for the info!!!:ylsuper

Thee, you sound pretty knowledgable. I hope you don't mind me askin for your help. :help First, What bushing are you referring to?2. I'm swappin a '95 s14 a/t into a '93 s13.Physically they're identical. Direct bolt in.3. However some electronics are different. This is what I know so far... The inhibitor switches change part #'s late'94. There is also the addition of an a/t Control unit. Now, I used my '93 inhibitor switch and will try the s14 switch later this week. I'm hoping I can get away with just swappin switches. Also, there was a little magnetic sensor on the s14 bell housing that I removed by unbolting. I'm thinking that if I need the Control unit I'd probably have to use this sensor. Otherwise there is no place to plug it in on the s13 harness...Thanks.
