I was told that both transmissions are the same. I am looking to buy an automatic for gibbo's car to replace it and get it back on the road. So would a transmission from a 95 ka motor (auto) fit his 89 sohc auto?

He'll be back December 10th, late that afternoon. But, I guess his car was just sold last night. I called his mom to find out if they wanted me to buy the transmission, from 95silviase, but she told me it was sold. the guy who bought it from them has had 6 240's. He buys them with engine or transmission problems, fixes them, and sells them for a profit. I guess he knows the growing popularity of these things. They got 900 out of it, which isn't bad considering it definitely needs a new transmission, only has 1 and 2 and reverse. But for 900 bux, and getting a 100 dollar transmission, he could turn around and sell it for probably 2k. Sad to see his car go, cuz that's what made me want a 240, almost as much as when I was at INDY and met all you guys and watched Bill drift in Rubin's s14.
