Is the DOHC and SOHC alternator interchangable? This guy on ebay with a good rep (power seller) is selling one, but hes saying it will fit a DOHC and SOHC. Is he right?

Well i checked http://www.partsamerica.com and the 1989 and 1992 have the same part number, but the 92 seems to have additional options. I would imagine that they would be the same, but try searching and you might be able to find a definate answer.

The DOHC alternator uses a different pully than the SOHC. I am not sure if the altonator is the same but I would assume they are.

Did a little research....and Ive come to the assumption that I can switch the pulleys. The thing is, the alternator I bought from ebay (remanufactured) says it will work for the ka24de and ka24e.
