sohc 145psi compression time for rebuild?

Well all four cylinders tested at 145 which shows nothing major is wrong. Just seems sort of low. Would this be a good time for a rebuild? I figure I might as well order some cp forged pistons, do a complete teardown and I plan to go sohc turbo.

Thought Normal Compersion Is ~180psi.

i'm probably not too bad off then. i know Hondas run like 215 psi.

did u warm up the engine when u did the test or was it cold, i think that makes a difference

Also, it should be at WOT while cranking. Made a big difference for me, but 145 sounds about right. Mine was 155 on all four. The main thing is that there's no big difference in the numbers. That in some ways is better than the number itself.

good point, but i think your numbers seem low. i might be thinking of dohc numbers tho, which i believe are 170-180?

I think the sohc numbers are supposed to be a little lower no? Idk, my engine runs fine, no oil burning that I can see.
