Ok I know its another coilover thread omg. I am looking to get some coilovers that are a little more friendly for daily driving that won't rattle my car into pieces. I've been looking into 6k/4k front/rear and at most 7k/5k. My question is has anyone out there rode on this spring rate and if so how was the ride? I probably will never track the car, so Im not really needing high dollar coilovers. While money isn't my biggest concern cheaper would be better. So far I'm leaning towards KTS and purchasing extra 4k springs to swap in and put 6ks on front.

Any advice is much appreciated.

7k/5k spring rates shouldn't be too stiff and would provide ideal comfort for a DD along with properly valved dampers. There is a review in here on our Endura-Tech coilovers as well as another thread about them that is currently open and about three below this one. It has pictures and reviews of the Endura-Tech coilovers. We currently have a spring sale on them for $1050 for the kit. You can see them at http://www.endura-tech.com

Cheaper doesn't always provide quality. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

youll void the warranty on the kts if you go below 7/5, so id say thats your best bet

honestly i think youll find theyre not as bad as you thought theyd be

Good to know, I didn't realize it would void the warranty.

As far as endura-tech goes I will definetly look into those, again price isn't my biggest concern, I am more worried about getting a good product that will last.

So for $1050, do you guys have a set of 7k/5k springs installed on the coilover for that price??

talk to andy @ AMR Engineering . it's http://www.amrengineering.com for his contact info. he'll custom valve his coilovers for whatever spring rate you like, and as long as you stay off the track, they're warrantied for life!. he's been building coilovers for several years now, but most of his sales are honda stuff. he makes an S13 coilover, though. they're just a hair under $1,000, and have aluminum bodies. rubber or poly top mounts i think, though, no pillow ball, but he'll custom machine pillow balls for you for super cheap, probably like $50ish.

BTW, having such a low rear spring rate is like following the lemming in front of you off a cliff. yes, it's stiffer than stock, but the rear motion ratio (~0.70), at least on an S13, is way lower than the front motion ratio (~0.91), so the actual wheel rate of 7/5 actually turns out to something like 6.4/3.5. super soft rear is nice for coming out of corners, but you'll lose a lot of road-holding for it. maybe if you have an iron block, iron-headed V8 mounted right up against the radiator those would be good spring rates, though.

zerothread/331315 if you want more info on that.

Yes we do. ETC-NS1300 just ask for the 5K rear springs.

Endura: Thanks Justin, I might be getting back to you on that, I really like the design on your coilovers. I just haven't heard many things about them, such as if the valving is good or not, especially worried about how they feel with the 7k/5k springs.

To 95ls: Yea i saw that thread and was insanely confused... some was common knowledge but other stuff was out there. I mean people do run 7k/5k coilovers with no problem and seem to like the comfort, but still has a good amount of stiffness. I find it hard to believe that a 7k/5k coilover system will not handle right with average valving, especially when people with spring combos run less at the same or close to the same interval.

Smocan- If your that worried about it, I'll give you 30 days to run on them with your daily driving, if the 7k rates in front are too stiff, I'll give you the 6k springs to swap it out.

I know that many people here do not know much about us, but we have gotten good reviews here and in other forums for Subaru and Evo's. I am confident that you will be pleased with the Endura-Tech coilovers and I know that after all is said and done, you will be happy too.

Justin.

Endura-tech: Just a quick question on your site. One page says the s13 coilovers are 7k/6k, but the next page says they are 7k/5k. What are the actual numbers?
