Just bought a used 350Z and had the soft top replaced. Aside from keeping the material clean and conditioned, is there something I can add to the frame parts that rub on the top material? It seems that tears often occur above or close to a frame component.
Thanks.

Soft tops are wear items. In addition to keeping them clean and conditioned, keeping them out of the daylight and not operating the top in cold weather also is about all you can do to extend their lives. The more often the top gets used the shorter the life will be. The reality is that owning a convertible car simply comes with the additional wear item but the life span should still be more than the average amount of time a person owns a car.
