soch to doch failure

hey guys. im new to the nissan world but tried my first soch to doch swap this is what i did.the engine that i scored is a 91 and the car is an 89 soch. the doch wiring harness is complete eccept for the two body plugs next to the battery and the ecu dash plug so i wired in the soch plugs on the inside ecu plug and the outside bodyplugs. could this be why my car wont start do i need a complete doch wire harness i have fuel and no fire can i splice in my soch ecu dash plug or know the whole wire harness must be doch plz guys help me out.

ok i had kind of a hard time understanding what you were trying to get out but here goes....

the plugs behind the battery when i did mine just plugged right in the dohc ones right to the sohc body.

And the ones that go to the dash are needed in order to start the car just match up these colors...

Wiring:1. Locate the body harness (under dash harness that attached to the ECU) that attached to your old harness. Cut the old connector off (the one that attached to your SOHC harness) and attach your DOHC body harness connector. Just match the colors!Yellow/Red --TachYellow/Green--SpeedometorOrange--Ignition startBlack---GroundBlue/Black---Water temp sensor

hey thanx for writing back but wat i was trying to say was the doch wire harness that i got with my motor was missing the both plugs the ones by the batt and under the dash but no worry i got another wire harness yesterday and took the plugs off that one and spliced it back on the doch wire harness so now its complete but the car still has no fire it turns over its getting fuel but no fire!! you the plug off of the dizzy if you go with a test light does any of those wires are supposed to be hot or no? i also pulled the coil wire off the dizzy to see if that sparked and no spark but has power when testing with light tester could my coil be badd?

I guess your coil COULD be bad but it sounds like you have some wiring issues to rule out first before you go and buy a new coil. do you have any friends or anything that have a known good coil at all that you could throw on and test out? or test yours on their car?

Do you have your dash wired up right matched up the colors like i posted above? Do you have any blown fuses or relays or anything like that?

hey guy thanx again i couldnt find n e one so i bought and guess what still no fire but when i turn the key on and rub the coil on metal it makes alil fire but very lil what could this be you think its not even enough to shock me when i touch it .
