SoCal Windows and Front plate strike again!

1:45pm Thursday. Going up the I-15 north. Sitting in lane one at 75mph and a cop rolls up behind me. I see him running my plates, they come up clean. He rolls up beside me staring me down. Then pulls behind me and lights me up. Pulled over for my 35% tint on the sides and no front plate. Oh all cops it was on the freeway by CHP. A city PD officer I will give you that, but the freeway? must have been a really slow day for him.

When I got pulled over the other day for my tails and heads he didn't say anything about my windows (35 in front) I rolled them down once I stopped but I was hesitant because I just washed my car

Dont cost me a thing except mail in the ticket after an officer signs off on it. So not too bad, but just the fact a CHP officer on the FREEWAY. Common, city I can understand but freeway for tint and plate . . .

I thought 35% is legal in CA? That really suck.

Fronts not allowed to be tinted at all in California. Rear windows can be as dark as you want as long as you have two side mirrors

20% all around in MA, havn't been stopped yet....knock on wood. I've been thinking about taking my front plate off, but im reluctant to do so.

I'm soo glad OK, doesn't require front plates. I would be pissed if I have to drill holes in my bumper.

and It's kinda weird, around here I get pulled over for fogs lights being on, but not tint. I've had 5% since I got my car and no trouble yet, but dam me if my fog lights are on lmao

lol shouldnt the altima coupes not come with fog lights in your area then?

ya that sucks, tint and license plate on the hwy... i'm not a fan of CHP... i mean city police and sheriffs do help out alot but CHP, i dont really like.

in any case, just zip tie your license plate to your front fascia.... you may have the bend the edges of the license plate so that it doesnt scrape the bumper when you put it on...

Ricko, I say get the hide a plate thingie for your front plate...

I ziptied one end of the plate to my radiator and the other side to a wire hanging down in front of my fascia (still not sure what it's there for)
