I've been fooling around in secluded parking lots and I really want to get out there and hit up a track. Is there any dirft events in socal other than drift day? I checked out the drift day website and you have to have a 6 point roll cage, all their fire proof clothing and shoes, a fire extinguisher, etc and plus I am no pro drifter. I just want to go fool around some place without having to look over my shoulder. Sorry for this being long, but does anybody know of less pro status events that don't make you spend a fortune to be eligible or great places to fool around?

^^^ Just Drift should be perfect.

There is also Drift Buffet: http://www.driftbuffet.com/

And if you check out the road racing groups, usually they will run drift/grip events @ willowsprings, possibly buttonwillow. Forgot the names of the groups off the top of my head, but I know the SRT boys ran a drift & grip event @ willow springs (separate run sessions, of course) a few months ago.

And if you need tires for these events, we are having a special on the Federal SS595 Drifting Competition Tires :

Just drift sounds good. Will they let me in and spin around the oval track or whatever? Or will i have to qualify or something?
