Here is my 07 M35x with directly bolted on stillen HFCs. No modification needed, great sound from the cats to the resonators, cut out exhausts... This is the same pattern for 'most' test pipes, HFCs, etc that go on the Z. Use liquid wrench rofl...

Cat to resonators... (ypipe)

Cats to manifold or headers...

So there ya go... have at it... no need for axlebacks, or stillen exhaust, use stock resonators, HFCs... the VQ is extremely choked at the cats, best place for bolt on performance manifold-wise is here.

Sound-wise it is kind of loud with the mufflers cut out, but nothing crazy, more muffled than a single pipe Z, a little drone from 1-3krpm. With mufflers it has a low rasp, still tuned, kind of throaty... I opted for cut out muffs and dual angled tips to be different, seems like everyone has megan racing or just duals...

Sorry couldnt get better pics, dont have a lift, just stands, and i'm like 6'5 so kinda hard to maneuver a camera...

Cheers...

More to come:

DIY on MAF adapter for aftermarket intakes, cup mod for AWD coilovers, fabricate strut tower braces, front upper strut, various chassis braces, ram air ducting, aaaaaaannnnnndddddd maybe a one off manifold (still aint decided, but have a bunch of aluminum and a new TIG on the way)

i have 2 questions:

if the Stillen HFC fit thats mean also Berk HFC will Fit. right?

the censer, can i connect it to the to the HFC directly?, or should i remove the ones in the stock cats and put them in the HFC?

thanx again :)

Yah berk test pipes should fit just fine...

I am confused by your question tho? If i am not mistaken the Berk tps have two options for o2 sensor placement, you would take the sensors out of your current cats and just plug them into the correctly threaded berks...

If you throw a CEL for whatever reason, reset the ECU, or hit me up and i'll tell you how to fix it. But you should be good, berk has decent thread seals on the pipes...

oh ok, so i can just unplug them from my stock cats and connect them to the HFC.

i like berk test pipes and HFC's , in my 350z i had a berk test pipe, the quality is good, and no check engine or sensor light appeared.

thanx man, the second step is to find a muffler with a titanium double tips for the m35!!

Yeah man, you'll be good, i think berk has a good sound...

screw the mufflers man, sounds epic without em, install the pipes and just un bolt one muffler and have a listen... sick...

OR! get some long tube resonators, and replace the oem ones, then straight pipe back with whatever tips you want... i'm gonna make a vid on my tips and sound...

I'd love to get those HFC's but I'm in Cali so the strict rules apply regarding C.A.R.B

I am working closely with a shop that does a lot of tuning for the 350z and G's...it's nice to know that a lot of the parts fit for the M35's....

I will be ordering the Motordyne MREV 2 and the xyz pipe w/resonator (prolly sell my Megan Y pipe) -- I've read on the G and 350z forums that these specific mods also provides gains...

good to have you aboard!!!!

Yeah that lower collector will give ya some noticeable difference.... are you planning on running an upper or a space??? Def look into it. I just installed a kinetix upper with a 1/2" blox spacer and i've got some good results, and the plastic stuff sounds mad throaty with the bonnet up. At the very least thro a spacer under the oem upper...

That xyz pipe is srsly sick man. Crazy how they threw all that into one. If i am not mistaken wouldnt you run into the same carb issues? I thought these were cutouts as well. Also, do they make an infiniti one? one for a z will not fit i dont think, mad tight clearance.

But damn that pipe is beautiful, its the one with the rainbow welds right??? droooool. I've only heard them on the Z and at wot, HOLY s***, sounds sick bro. Def post up a vid, wanna hear that shiz...

Not sure, would have to double check, could google part numbers or check with stillen... or hop under the G and take a pic for me.

If it is a VQ it should be the same from the ypipe up. so manifolds and cats should technically be universal... will see what i can come up with when i have a min and get back at ya.

No worries....it actually replaces the stock y pipe...so the two inlet bolt up to the cats and the single outlet bolts to mid pipe....its actually a great mod....a few of my buddies have them on their G35's and have dynoed gains.....
