Ok we're getting a lot of the same questions over and over on this board lately so its time we did like the other boards. In most swap sections there's a sticky of all the basics of how to get the engine running and what components to use, why shouldn't we have the same? I'm gonna start going through all the stuff on my computer that i've saved over the past little while as well as search these fourms for the info...i posted first so everyone could aid me in retrieving all the info.

Things like what plugs to use, what wires work best. Timing info, all the oil lines and pics of where to tap(i get asked this daily) wiring diagram for the Z32 MAF, etc...all the options of fuel managment and timing managment...all the stuff that some of us take for granted as common knowledge but others wouldn't know where to look...like the wideband info Ivan posted the other day, probaly took him 2mins to type but would take some all day to find...

Anything you consider relivant, doesn't have to be KA specific as long as it pertains to turboing the ka...So write something up, or just copy and paste from another thread...the only rule is no chit chat and no links within nico, copy and post so its not lost...also try to limit linking to other sites where the info could be copied and pasted since all to often sites change and dead links are everywhere...

Oh, and i'm certian this thread will be effective so could a mod please sticky it?

Suggested Plugs, slightly colder than stock...

NGK BKR7EIX-11 (iridium)NGK BKR7ES-11 (copper)HKS 5408-S35i (iridium and very pricey)

Do not use Platnium plugs with Nitrous, Race Fuel and/or under high boost...causes detonation...

if the car doesn't run right when you first start it up, check your timing, your dist. may be off a tooth. If your car doesn't idle, check your IIAC connection, it goes to the cold pipe.

Dunno, it sounds like questions about those two issues get talked about a lot.

Parts needed:

-turbo-turbo exhaust manifold-wastegate (if turbo doesnt have internal wastegate swing valve housing)

-downpipe (connects turbo outlet to cat/test pipe)-turbo outlet flange-piping-fittings (O2, wideband O2, EGT)-wastegate return pipe (from wastegate outlet to downpipe)--external wastegate onlytest pipe (takes place of cat, connects downpipe to catback exhaust)catback exhaust (mandrel bent)-muffler

larger injectors, 370cc from Z32's or SR20's drop in replacements(get new o-rings)high flow fuel pump (walbro's are cheap, and work awesome)fuel management (piggyback, JWT ECU retune, hacked MAF, or rising rate fuel pressure regulator for low boost<5psi)ignition management (timing retard control)--over 8 psi

intercooler (front mount)-IC piping (mandrel bent)-silicon hose couplers and transitions-a ton of hose clamps, wrench tightened

BOV (with flange of same material as IC piping)

oil supply kit-oil pan bung-braided oil lines-oil line fittings-'T' fittings

gauges-boost-wideband O2-oil pressure-EGT-do not waste your time with a narrow band O2 gauge, it tells you nothing

intake piping (mandrel bent)cone filter

gaskets-exhaust manifold-turbo flange-wastegate

vacuum hoses (silicone or rubber)-'T' fittings

clutch, after you burn up the stocker.....while your replacing that you might as well get a lightened flywheel, worth it
