That is an awesome episode. I love TG, i own every episode (since the restart in 2002ish) and watch them all the time. possibly the best series ever made. the newest one from series 16 i think it is. thats a good one they drive across South America.

they are on season 14 right now, and its episode 6 where they drive across the jungle to the coast. I too own almost all episodes of TG, I've even resorted to buying some on DVD to get the ones I couldn't find on torrents or youtube. They will be coming out with more here in a few weeks, 7 more to be exact, that will be season 15 i believe.

the polar special was much more legit than the bolivia special. at least it the polar special they acknowledge the support crew.

in bolivia, they broke the eye off a leaf spring - roadside repair. they exploded the rear diff - roadside repair. flooded the engine - roadside repair.

not only that, but the three of them (though hilarious and i LOVE the show) are the most incompetent off roaders ever. they all had winches, but instead of winching down and up the ravine, they spend hours and hours cutting down trees to make a bridge.

when they flood the rover, they don't use the samurai to winch it backwards, but instead try to drive around the rover into the DEEPER part of the river.

i'm sorry, but that show is just a bunch of staged gags designed purely for entertainment value. but yet they act so seriously, as though they are legitimately trying to complete the expedition unassisted.

and i love how they magically all get their trucks mended, with lift kits, 35in BFG KM2s, roll cages, etc.

gimme a break.

sure some of it is a little unrealistic, but it makes for better entertainment watching the unnecessary routes taken. plus there British...

None the less, IMO Topgear is by far the best and most entertaining automotive program in history. trying to watch car and driver tv after watching topgear is like reading a technical manual or something.

haha i agree. i religiously watch each and every Top Gear episode. i must admit, i was a bit disappointed when i watched the bolivia special, but it's still a great episode nonetheless.

for the record, i think the Polar Special and Africa Special are both better episodes.

by far. I was a little disappointed, but watching them get it off the raft was funny.

its a fake, Ferrari would not allow the Stig to drive the FXX so they dressed the chin up to look like him. on that note, the Ferrari FXX is the gayist car ever! well not the car but the rules of owning one. point in case, you walk into a Ferrari dealer, hello my name is jo, I've owned 5 Ferrari's in the past, all of them new, one was a Enzo, one was an F40, the others don't matter, I'd like to spend $1M on a car that I can't keep at my house, can you help? Dealer: sure we have the perfect car for you. jo meet FXX. we will keep it here at the dealer where its safe, and bring it to a track for you when you want to drive it. it will include a pit crew and everything you need to make your track day the most enjoyable you've ever had. When your done we will take it back to our facilities where it will be kept safe. Jo: that sounds great! heres my money. now I'm a little hungry, I think I'll go have a bald eagle egg omlet, care to join me,,,muah ha ha ha ha

I've always thought this was the most ridiculous BS ever. Well that and the price for the new LF-A.

I'd get rid of all my cars, and bikes for a LF-A if it cost $100K! GOD IT SOUNDS SO SICK!!! I think it was Cambridge University that did a study where they took 10 guys, did blood tests, then made them drive regular cars, blood tested, then made them drive Porsche 997 GT3's, then blood tested them again. the results were Higher levels of Testosterone after driving the 911's. F going to the gym, just let me drive an LF-A every day and I'll grow gratuitous amounts of muscle, and hair in places I can't grow it now!

$350k is a bit much for a car that can't beat a $120k ZR1
