So, wrecked my 2006m, got an ex35 found an 2008 M35 ????

Title says it all, I wrecked my 2006 m35, if saved my life, a week later I bought a 2008 ex35, pretty loaded, but
has less room in the storage cargo bay than my M35 trunk. I did notice that the 2008 M35 is 2 inches longer and
a bit wider than my 2006, but I'm willing to take a loss because I think I acted in haste. At the end of the day, I
don't think I can keep the EX35, It just isn't an M35 sedan.
Does anybody think I'm mentally unbalanced, I found a 2008 M35 with 21,000 miles on it with the advanced
technology package with the technology package which has most of the options I had with the 2006 premium, journey and tech packages or so they were described then. I've gotten a bad case of buyers remorse over this
and if it cost me an extra $6k to get back into this ride, I'd be glad to do it.
Can anyone give a slight overview on the differences between 2006-2008 M35 cars? I've been researching
this to death and I figured that I should just come to the place where all the knowledgeable people are,

Most of the changes between the 06 & 07 vs. the 08-10 were cosmetic...tail lights, grille, interior lighting, and the front bumper for starters. Also, the 08+ AWD and RWD vehicles were differentiated...the 08+ NAV went from a DVD disc to a HDD and were given factory iPod intergration

So I found a slate blue, with graphite interior, loaded with 20,200 miles and was able to get a 72 month
extended warranty from, you guessed it, Scottsdale Infiniti and of course I delt with the infamous
Courtney Mutema, fast, never leaves you hanging, a pleasure to do business with and gets documents
and pricing really fast. Of course the name Courtney probably conjures up visions of a lovely young woman
and since it's mostly men here, I asked her supervisor and she said she was gorgeous, and I'm only mentioning
it because that is really funny. I know a lot of men have bought warranties from her because her pricing is
just over the top, great value. I just purchased another great warranty actually adding an additional 60 months
after the year left on the factory warranty expires.

STALKER LOL - i actually found another source where i believe pricing is better. but it's from a guy and based from your post, i think you'll stay with Courtney. i've talked to her, very responsive and nice. however i never had the pleasure of meeting her in person or INQUIRE about her look

as you can tell from the pics I posted again at photo bucket, the fact that all four doors still opened perfectly with no cabin intrusion from the advanced crumple zone.
15 years ago, the advanced crumple zones did not exist, so my ultimate choice to get back into another M35 was a no brainer. So, I will get probably 75% of my warranty
payment back and apply that to my new warranty.. I will be covered until August 2017.

So I wrecked my 2006 M35, a week later bought an EX35, realized it wasn't he car for me, traded it in
back at the dealer for a nice loss paid more for the 2008 M35 another$2500 California sales tax and I'm
still happy to be back in the nicest car I've ever driven. I just didn't fit the EX, it didn't ride very well,
and I'm happy to be back where I belong, my new blue metallic slate with graphite interior is gorgeous,
My wife cried when she saw my wrecked M, and she doesn't even like cars that much. The first time I
let her drive it, her foot transformed into a lead block to depress the gas pedal and away she went. She
was thrilled with the performance and the first thing I did was to take off the Goodyear Eagle RS stock
tires and put on the tires I used to have, the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 245/45R18XL 100Y VSB.
they are a high performance summer tire with really good numbers in the wet.
I am back, didn't think I could miss a car that much, and I'm sure you all know what I mean.
The new 2008 has more head room, and shifts higher in each gear, or is that my imagination, and it
seems to downshift quicker, I hope somebody can comment?

I cant speak to how the 08 M is geared vs the 06 M but I can say that the car transmission adapts to your driving style and makes changes accordingly. So if the person that had your car before you drove a little more aggressive then it will shift according to that style. If you drove like a grandma previously then your 06 would shift like that. You can always reset your ECU and then let it adapt according to YOUR style and not the previous owners. Hopes this helps a little
