Both Scott(maxhopper), and I will be running in the Ohio Valley Import Shootout. I just wanted to see if anyone else was coming.

I hear ya' Scott. I imagine it won't be open for OVIS, but who knows. I hope everything works out, because from checking in at 502 it seems that there will be some decent new competition out there.

Well....it was an extremely long day, lots of domestics puking oil all up and down the track. Cullen ran into a couple problems; one was his N2O the other problem was to bizzar for me to go into (I'll leave that to him). I only got 2 qualifying runs in before eliminations (I was running ET Bracket). First run was a 10.115, second was 10.130. So when I'm usually running test and tune at this track, my times start to drop off slightly as the sun/temperature goes down. I decided to split my times and dial in at a 10.12. Stupid, stupid, stupid me :beatfreak :beatfreak :beatfreak...I ran a 10.118 and was done for the night. Very disappointed in myself.

Well, It looks like the maxima will be going under the knife in the next couple of weeks. Definetely a new tranny LOL, and most likely a new motor just for the heck of it(compression is great, but still 150k miles).

I was running in the Power adder bracket. My first run was a 9.2 with no spray. I felt pretty good about the 9.2 since I only have I/Y/E/UDP, but nontheless my nitrous and fuel solenoids were not opening up. Well, I pulled into the pits and popped the hood to troubleshoot. Wiring looked fine, so as i was pulling the nozzle out of the intake plumbing to do a little testing when I happened to look down too see two nickel-sized HOLES in the bellhousing of my tranny!!!

Everything drives fine, yada yada yada. I think a bolt(or two LOL) came loose from the flywheel/clutchplate and decided it needed to get some fresh air.

I'm looking for another car right now and have been for the past week. I'm not going to sell the max unless I get an insane offer that I can't pass up after the motor/tranny swap. I'll probably get a 2001 Q45, 2003 G35, and I've also been looking at the possibility of a 98-99 bmw 540i, but that's for another thread in itself :)
