Finished up the driver side manifold today, halfway done with passenger side. Log style for the time being, will probably be the temporary setup, I think we can fit more of a tube style header in there but it will make it even more of a tighter fit. With this setup we're going to use a mid-pipe to connect the manifold to the turbo to make install easier for the turbos, but the manifolds have to gone on with the motor out of the car, very tight fit, very.

Here's a few pics of one of the manifolds, made it up in a few hours, nothing special yet...

Did you actually do it? Or are you claiming ownership of an idea that quite a number of people have had and never done?

Well Bruce (USDM240), if you had this brain fart 6 months ago, why haven't you started it? Have you not sold the same intake enough times to afford the motor yet? For those that don't know our good buddy Bruce, here's a few threads about him, zerothread?id=145883andhttp://forums.ni ... er...age=1

Well Dan, I don't claim the ownership of the idea of the swap, many have had that wet dream throughtout their 240's life, I just brought it to life, it's being done right now on 2 S13 hatches, and possibly a Kouki. I've seen and heard of 2 cars with the smaller 41, and a shop in Australia swapped in a 45 into a Silvia, but never finished it due to their customer moving. But I have never seen a running and driving VH45 swap, especially twin turbo'd.

Here's the money shots, just the driverside turbo mounted on, we're going to wind up using on-center exhaust housingsto make them sit properly, and modify the manifold again, smaller runner for quicker spool. ETA of completion of the 2 hatches is gonna be near the end of March, lots of work left to do, and too many customer cars.

Here's some pics, show some clearances too.

WHOAAAA!!! That thing is rediculous. How much HP are you going for?! That things gotta produce at least 400 HPs with those big *** turbos on it.... Wow... my jaw dropped when I saw that lol.

Keep it up man, looks sick as ****.

400hp, the engine can do that in a NA form, the 2 turbos will be good for 1300hp for later on. I haven't gotten any exact numbers but what some have said is that its about 65 pounds heavier than a SR. As for a kit, not sure on that, alot of custom parts, and not really any body mods, but we're doing some anyways for easier fit and work space.

this one, the vh45, is all aluminum, quad over head cams

the other thing i know is the vk56 in the titan is strong as ****, dont know if its iron or aluminum, but those titans you see running CORR? those are stock internal engines out of the titan, making something like 710 hp and 800 lb ft of torque, naturally aspirated

but now you are comparing a dohc to an ohv. I doubt they're even close. I remember recording the numbers, and at least a 100lb difference.

Turbo?!?!? Turbo!?!? Turbo?!?!?

OK. Whenever I get my S-chassis, I'm not going to do ANYTHING to the engine. I'm gonna ship it to you for a Turbo VH swap. how much?

Updates are going slow, sorry, we were acutally rethinking the turbo setup today, maybe a remote mount twin setup, just to do something different. We will hopefully have some more updates in a week or so, been busy with our crate KA's, and swaps so we've had very little time to work on the VH's.
