it comes connected on the stock wiring harness but you can get one from other nissan motors here in the states i think its the ca16de. either go to the junk yard and look for an 87 pulsar or order it from either nissan or any parts store. there was a thread out about this a while back so you should have searched . here it is http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....40968

yeah i already read that...and I got the dropping resistor today, and it plugs in but i dont know how to wire it? Like after where it plugs in where it should go, i followed that wire and it ends up at the batery area and theres a pink wire on the ca18det harness side but none on the other side? Where do I wire it, is there any splicing? Thanks, I have no idea what to do, maybe one of you do?

im not familiar with that motor, but usually dropping resistors are wired as such-

positive feed from ecu to injectors- thru injectors- to resistor pack- to a common ground.

another words, the injectors are grounded through the resistor pack.

yeah i know that...but i dont know how to get from the ecu to the injectors...they are different color wires that dont match up, im really lost.

the injectors are most likely NOT grounded to the ecu. there will be one wire comming from the ecu per injector. theye are grounded elsewhere. that is the point your looking for.

get it? there is one wire from the ecu per injector. those lines go to the injectors. the other wire leaving the injector goes to the resistor. from the resistor, it gets grounded. it does NOT return to the ECU.

one thing a CA guy has to chime in with is if the ecu feeds or sinks the injectors. that dictates if the resistor pack is grounded or connected to positive.

hey guffed where did you get the dropping resistor and how many wires are on the resister.it should be 5 wires on the resistor and 5 wires on the plug that plugs into the resistor.if you got the resister from a ca16de i dont think it will work cause the ca16de's dropping resister only has 2 wires coming out of the dropping resister and the ca18det uses 5 wires so the ca16de will not work
