Was the track really shorter? I heard the times were low because the car took a shorter route.

And they used race tires, and they cut accross the grass, and they broke the laws of physics blah blah blah.

To answer your question, no. They drove the same track everyone else tests on. Nissan has done everything possible to make sure that all of the numbers they release are without question. People, mostly Corvette and Porsche owners, are making up every excuse they can think of to try to discredit the GT-R. None of them want to admit the reality that the GT-R is this fast. And I have stopped arguing with them as most are incapable of an independant opinion and just spit out what ever their friend told them. It doesn't matter really, the GT-R simply terrifies these kinds of people and I find it quite funny.

vette owners have issues. There must be a few cool ones but the majority have a serious "look at me" complex and can't stand a single eye turning towards another car, even if it is ugly.
