The search hasn't yielded much info. I have a 91 with the actsus. Is it possible? I'm not afraid of a little fabrication, but I don't want to get into too much. Unfortunately, I can't afford the new 4.08. Thanks.

The actual gears are used from the Z32.... HOwever, there are some differences (theres a 4.08 thread where HeavyDuty posted a nice writeup), and that makes it incompatible on the Q... THe output shafts are different as well.

The 4.08 is CHEAP compared to what youd have to do to mod one....

Five bolt flange vs. six bolt flange on output shafts. Cheapest and best is BRM (AZHitman) swap.

That swap is DEAD, per hitman

Correct me if im wrong, but the current maker has made whiny low quality units, and hitman doesn't want anything but the best

Bummer. Maybe I'll just have to get some laughing gas.
