So I read that nail polish remover works wonders to clear up yellowed headlights.

Since the headlights on my S14 are yellowed, I decided to try this trick. I went out and bought some polish remover today, washed the car, and gave it a whirl.

Well, now the headlight that WASN'T done looks clear and beautiful compared to the one I tried to clean up. The NPR seems to have eaten through a thin layer of the plastic and now I have a filmy-looking haze over my entire headlight, which is not coming off with cleaner, wax, or vigorous buffing.

This leads me to believe that I've missed a step somewhere.

Now the front of my car looks terrible with the one hazey light....how can I fix this crap? :(

Yay!

I decided to go ahead and try with my Eagle One mag & aluminum polish to get that crappy film off.

It worked. :D

My light is still not crystal clear, but it does look a bit better. Now I'm off to do the other.

I'm still more than open to tips on this process as pretty much what I've read was "yeah, just rub some nail polish remover and it'll come right off".

Not quite the case. :)

Haha, my friend did that with his headlights, cept he cleaned the inside(after painting the housing black) and turned it white. Couldnt see through it.

They actually make a product to de-haze headlights. Dunno what its called though.
