I was at lunch talking to some friends and this random kid comes up to me. And he tells me that he saw me pull in to school this morning and loved my car. so I said thanks, and then hes like you want free nos? I ask him how. And he says he knows a guy that can get it, but i have to join his race team, then i'm like WTF? Then i ask him what he drives, he says a 95 grand am with no mods. I just barely held back the laughter. I'm thinking what kind of race team is this if the "captain" drives a grand am. My friend asked him if he raced the moped team! So i told him no and he says well if you want to join talk to me, but if you want to race me, u better get some mods first, then we can talk. I told him i don't do street racing and drifting is what i do This kid shook his head and walked away. It was funny to me, so i just thought i would share. I mean, I could probably beat him, i hope. I don't street race tho, thats just stupid I was bored, when i typed this: just tolet u guys know

Ah, the good ol' days of high school.

Please, find out what the other 'racers' drive. Spectras and Sables?

i will ask him tomorrow at lunch and post, and yes high school is fun, especially this really wide right turn going out of the school that is hidden from all sight for me to drift around now and again

I bet they will drive old beaters, all on the bottle, what a cheap way to win, in my opinion, o wait those ultra rare 50cc kp.5 TTT mopeds will beat team ruckus.(forgot to say the team name, its even worse!)

Hey, I still remember running Autocross in a stock 1991 Honda Civic DX

Sometimes, you just gotta have fun with what you have.

And then I heard that some schools are starting programs that would get you out in 3 years. Rats.

My girlfriend only went 3 years (and no she didn't drop out).

I wouldn't trust "Team Ruckus"...definately wouldn't trust them giving me free NOS. I don't know about racing that Grand Am though (in a straight line of course.) My friend had a Grand Am and it was kinda quick - compared to the 2 Civics and the Sentra that he beat.

My high school had a few rice teams too. Consisted of an S10, Ranger, Civic, and a Camaro. Never actually heard of them doing anything, just speeding around the bus loop like idiots.

BTW, you go back to school pretty early.

But don't they get out in like the end of May?

We got out like the second week of June, and I start college on the 29th. Wow, looking at the calendar that isn't very far away...

Okay this thread upset me, lol.

I think the districts get out in May, yes, plus we get longer breaks. It's a big fight in the state. The state want districts to start later to save A/C expense, the districts want to start early for longer breaks. It's a control issue really.

We had a "team" at my high school, but they actually had some pretty sweet cars.

There was a Turbo Corrado making maybe 350hp, bright yellow, called the "Killer Bee", there was some kid with a fairly quick Z31 turbo, a kid with an NA 964 Carrera, there was a high-comp BB6 Prelude, and a couple of Integras with normal ricey stuff done to them.

Oh....and there was one guy with a f@#king ZR-1. Yes, a real one. He didn't race anyone, he just drove it around and tried to look cool.

ZR1's are somewhere around 400hp/trq outta the factory right? Ridiculous amounts of torque. It'd tear most 240's a new one

Corvettes are like GT-Rs, you lose no matter what.

If you win, so what? It's a vette. If you lose you are a chump. Everything to lose and nothing to gain. I'd rather have a "lesser" car and make it fast enough to beat the "superior" car.

Now thats comedy!!

High school = 3 yrs. I still regret it because I left the guys on my basketball team just when we were starting to mesh.

I saw a local news report saying they want to pass a law to limit how early kids can return to school.

ah high school....i saw tons of kids everywhere when driving to work this morning.

What you should do now is challenge him to a race for $50. Just leave out the part about loosening his lug nuts and stuffing apples in his exhaust.

Yeah just race him. If your heavily into drifting take him to some back roads and race beat him through turns in a sprint race. That how I race forget the whole drag thing.

Hey guys, i havent checked till now, so heres the update. No one knows what other people drive and i didn't see this kid friday. No geo i will not join because the are a bunch of ricers and i heard they ca'nt drive and all they do is slap on a fart can and nos and think they are cool. What idiots. And friday is drift day, so i drifted my favorite turn. You guys should see all my rubber that i've marked the road with! The pavement will be totally black soon LOL! But we started school august 4th but we go no half days and get 3 weeks christmas vacation, 1 week spring break, and get out may 21st, thats the part i like. But i will try to find out what these kids drive. And i will not race them on the street, i would just be wasting my time. I have nothing to prove to ricers, so the race is not happening unless this idiot won't leave me alone. And school drama sucks, but o well, next year is my senior year! So out of school soon!
