pranoid AF this morning, bouncing ideas off myself, feel free to chime in

Car shook like a earthquake this morning on a cold start up and then went away as it warmed up SO:

-Maf is brand spakin new to which I soldered new wires to and then capped with the harness

-Injectors are all at 12.5 ohms

-intake is squeaky clean along with a brand new AACV, EGR is clean, TB is also squeaky clean

- no way in hell a PCV valve can do this, (plenum clean with no oil)

- coolant temp sensors would have given me a rough idle which I did't have

- battery at 12.65V and then 13.65 running

- I don't think a TPS sensor would cause this without giving a rough idle

- only possibility i'm coming down to is a blown lower injector O ring which is flooding the cylinder over night and then when I fire up it tries to burn all that fuel, wondering if that could be tied to another issue that has come up recently, key turn and nothing, turn key back and re engage and then boom, fire up, but that seems more of a ignition switch issue

update, so I went out to start the car again, cranked super long, obviously it'll have a hard time starting if its flooded, BUUUUUUUUUUT when I turn the key back and then re engage I get nothing at all except I think I herd a click, FML, please God let it be the starter relay, I don't have 4 hours to remove the starter.

Make sure your battery connections are good... A loose one will work sometimes, but drop out under a heavy load (starter).

now that you mention it, my positive battery terminal is factory, and I removed the side nut to add the power line that running back to the trunk for my amp and maybe that had something to do with it, will change out the terminal and see if that fixes it

to my understanding a blown Injector O ring should change the ohm readings no?

I'd fix the factory terminal if you can... Not much extra wire to work with. O-ring failure won't change the ohm reading. Check your fuel pressure bleed down after turning the car off. There is a TSB on that somewhere... If you need it let me know and I'll try to dig it up.

i'll strip and solder/ shrink wrap a extra 4-5 inches on the positive cable, the bleed down test is the same as checking fuel pressure right? except letting it idle and warm up first then shutting the car off and watching the pressure drop, what kinda pressure drop should I be expecting, if you got a TSB then sure i'll look at it

And blocking the return line. I'll see if I can find the TSB. The way mine behaved with a leak down issue was: Easy start after sitting overnight. Easy restart after a few minutes off. Sitting for 15mins to about 8 hours = hard start with dark smoke.

Ok makes sense, I hit the positive terminal with a wire brush and it started up instantly and did not feel the earthquake but still shook, no smoke from the tail pipe except a fuel smell, which makes me believe it could be a spark issue, @120K idk how long ago they were changed

so a few things.

I started it up and a ton of water came out the exhaust, not anitfreeze, water, making about 3 ft line where the exhaust gasses pushed it out ( no mufflers btw, straight pipped with cats) with small white puffs of smoke but went away after it warmed up a little WHEW, thought I had a head gasket blown but still that much water at cold starts is troubling, my Q never overheated

still shaking bad, I just replaced the sparkplugs with the standard PFR-5g11's, the idiot before me never bolted down coil pack #8 at put in NGK BKR5E-GP plugs all around.

http://www.autozone.com/external-engine ... 505372_0_0

middle 2 spark plugs on the drivers side and one of the plugs on the passenger side were wet with fuel BUT all the sparkplugs looked HORRIBLE and chard

I do not think its a blown head gasket, coilpack failure on our Q's isn't common so i'm thinking either a bad 02 sensor or fuel injector O rings

actually im not gonna rule out a bad PCV valve, when I took the aluminum bend off the throttle body that connects to the intake boot, there was some black sludge type stuff overthere

a bad PCV valve and hose could cause these symptoms
