Does it have to do with ABS unit as I've read in some other threads?
P.S. when I parked and turned it off/on they went away, but who knows for how long.

I agree with this statement. I'm probably sounding like a broken record right now but Infiniti has fallen off in terms of service of their own cars. I still have the erratic idle which I'm going to live with until I sell this car in a few months. The car rattles so much that I don't have enough dynamat to cover it all. The warranty on my Q45 was 5 years 60K miles; on my M56 they've dropped it down to 4 years and 48K miles (I believe) Not sure why it got lowered but that's unacceptable by today's standards. Like this gentleman said -- if the Infiniti dealership can't fix your car, who can? When I took the "master tech" out for a test drive he said and I quote "the bogging down in 3rd gear is designed that way so that you get the best fuel economy." OK......tfs1975 wrote:Saw this post and figured I'd reply. I am the OP from the link you posted. End result ended up with me trading in the car and going with Lexus GS 350 F Sport. The issue was never figured out and It was looked at by Nissan specialty mechanics, Infiniti and then I even tried to help the Lexus dealership fix it so that they could re sell it on their lot as it was a nice car. The fix was never found and the issue was never solved. As stated in my post, I changed out the 4WAS actuator (rear rack and pinion) as well as the 4WAS controller. I still have them even though I know longer have the car and will be pulling them out of the attic and posting them on EBAY and other sites for sale shortly. I had the Nissan Specialist tell me that he thought it was a bad ground somewhere. Shortly before trading it in, I had a fuel sender code come up as well. That was the last straw for me. I know a lot of people on this site swear by the extended warranties but a high end car like Infiniti should have a better life span and maintenance requirements than say a Honda, which it does not. Same thing with BMW. My M37s was the last Infiniti I will own not just because of the issues but also because the Infiniti service department was less than knowledgeable about diagnosing and fixing. If it didn't tell them specifically via computer diagnostics or via FSM how to fix, they were basically clueless. Not really mechanics in my opinion. I will admit however that no one was able to determine the cause of the issue. At the same time, it is their product and they should have been able to figure it out. I am sorry that I cannot provide more info to you. More than welcome to purchase my parts at a much reduced rate and try on your own end. Can't make any guarantees though.
Good luck.
