So, are we really going to bomb Syria and thus go to war with another country we need to just leave alone?

It won't be a full scale intervention. Probably just lob some cruise missiles in.

I'm with ya though. We should just leave that entire section of the world alone. One of the only consistent things throughout history is the middle east being violent and at war.

France and Britan left the US alone to have our civil war we should do the same. As long as the conflict is within Syria stay out of it. No matter who the "winner" is in Syria we still do not have an ally. We have a base in Afganistan, Iraq and Turkey we don't need a base in Syria.

Gwoods, I had that same convo with another coworker. We need to leave Syria alone and then whoever the victor is, we will govern them just like all the other countries - we slap 'em around if they start causing too many problems with other countries.

But if we start messing with too many countries over there, if they all got smart and allied up, we could have a big problem on our hands. Luckily religion is keeping that from happening.
