After work today i cleared one of the garage bays out at work and pulled the alti in. First thing i did was remove the stock muffler and start the engine without it. Sounded pretty sick!

So from beginning to end, using just 1 floor jack with no jack stands, i had the whole job finished in 50 minutes.

My first impression when i first started the car, definitly raised an eyebrow.

Cold engine and a little blip of the throttle..... This exhaust means business!

The drive home.... the exhaust is definitly there. There is no more slipping people without them hearing you. Its easily enjoyable when in the sporty mood. I'll give a better opinion after driving it for a week. It may be borderline too loud for me, but then again i really enjoyed the car being quiet when it was stock. I was after a more aggressive sound, and from what i can hear in the driverseat, i definitly got it!

Oh yeah, the rumbling of the floor board, and the 1200 rpm feeling in your chest is something i hope i get used to.

I didn't have any time to shoot vid's so i'll update with them when i can.

Have someone rev it for you or drive it for you while you watch. It sounds wonderous

The interior noise is expected on an exhaust system . You'll get used to it.

yeah, all 4 vehicles i've owned have recieved some kind of exhaust. I just enjoyed the quiet ride for a change, it just wasn't sporty sounding enough for my taste. Like i said i'm going to give a better opinion after putting some miles on it, let me ear adjust, and the car adjust.

I have my injen waiting to be installed as well. I'll probably install it tomorrow since i'm impatient, but my plan was to drive it with the stillen exhaust for a week and then install the intake

I know exactly what you mean, I really enjoy how ridiculously quiet my stock Altima is inside, which makes being on the phone or listening to music such a pleasure, but at the same time I miss that roar I could produce in my 350z when revving the engine.

Threads like these make me wonder if it'll be too loud for my taste once I get my exhaust installed, but there's no turning back now

yeah? I wouldn't say its really loud it reminds me like when you have the crossover frequency set to high on your subwoofers and they sound a little "boomy".

I could feel very minor vibration in the floor board and armrest. I'm interested to see how much the tone changes after a bunch of miles.

I don't put many miles on my car a week so it may take a little longer for everything to blend

Johnny,

Where can I get more information on the Oxnard meet? Because I can probably bring the people from Tanabe to come out. But I can't guarantee it though.

EDIT: Shoot, sorry for Hi-jacking your thread.

So i took a crappy video of the exhaust today.

Compairing the stock to the stillen.....

the stillen drones, the stock doesn'tthe stock is crackely, the stillen is butter smooth.

From behind the car, the stock actually sounds more obnoxious. The stillen exhaust is louder inside the car then it is outside of the car

You ever tweak yours like you were saying to see if you could get the mufflers better aligned. Alex at Stillen is working on mine as we speak. Sent him some pictures in addition to the ones I posted.

Maybe it's just me but I don't think it drones that bad. I'm really pleased with the sound.

Cuzz, you think it sounds good in the 2.5? I ordered mine and it should be here on Thursday... I'll have to install it now regardless of other opinions but still, I'd like to know what other 2.5 owners think about it.

I'm telling ya man I don't think you will be disappointed! It's deep and in no way obnoxious! I've heard some other videos on you tube of the same exhaust but it sounds nothing like those. Deep, throaty, and aggressive. (best way I can describe it) I'm going to Tallahassee next week for a job meeting and I'm going to finally get to open it up!!
