So the day finally came....

So as the title reads, the day finally came. My Q is pretty much at the point of no return. I can't justify putting an estimated $8K into a vehicle that's turning 10yrs old very soon. My CV boots are ripped and now i think the joints are on their way out too. Among other issues there's also the roof with i've mentioned before. It's rusting so badly it would cost $4K to replace just in parts. So i just *sniffle* traded it *sniffle* for an '05 FX35. I'll be very sad to see it go but now hopefully the dealer will correct some issues with it that i just couldn't afford to and it'll make somebody else happy as it did for me for the past 9 years. Honestly i'm shocked that the QX lasted as long as it did, considering it's history (the rollover with the previous owner) so it's kinda trade it now or have it completely die and i have nothing to put towards another vehicle. So the spirit of my QX will just transfer to a new and improved vehicle, the FX...so my QX may live on with me in a new model. -_-

totally understandable....i wish you would have informed us sooner i would have traded those clear corners with you!!! dammit! well please visit the pathy/qx4 forums still dont abandon us! and we want pics of the fx asap. Were too lazy to go into the other forums. well at least i am lol

It was beautiful when i got it, and for years until unfortunately time took a toll. It still looks pretty good, but if u know what ur lookin for...yikes! LOL

It was a spur of the moment decision. Well i've been thinking about it, but never took action cuz i didn't think it was the right time. But if you can somehow make it here for tomorrow i'll trade the corners with ya!

I know what you mean though, I've been having the same feelings as of late. Every time some new little "issue" pops up, I have to stop and think hard if I really want to bother with keeping it running.

Yep, i'm engaged. And hey now, i've been lacking in posts all over the forum! I've been so busy with school work that i can barely plan things for the wedding!

I went that route already, i've been looking for the newer model QX but haven't had any luck. When i happened to come across one they were usually not in great condition.

And yes the username lives on! I've grown quite attached to that user name, as simple as it is

One of our local car dealers has a 2003 with 82,000 miles on their TV commercial right now for $10,995. I looked at the pics and it looks as beautiful as any other Q.
