What a bummer Lauren, but congrats on the new ride, gotta post it up when you get pics. I've been thinking heavily about getting an FX as an additional car, how do you like it so far?99QX4 wrote:So as the title reads, the day finally came. My Q is pretty much at the point of no return. I can't justify putting an estimated $8K into a vehicle that's turning 10yrs old very soon. My CV boots are ripped and now i think the joints are on their way out too. Among other issues there's also the roof with i've mentioned before. It's rusting so badly it would cost $4K to replace just in parts. So i just *sniffle* traded it *sniffle* for an '05 FX35. I'll be very sad to see it go but now hopefully the dealer will correct some issues with it that i just couldn't afford to and it'll make somebody else happy as it did for me for the past 9 years. Honestly i'm shocked that the QX lasted as long as it did, considering it's history (the rollover with the previous owner) so it's kinda trade it now or have it completely die and i have nothing to put towards another vehicle. So the spirit of my QX will just transfer to a new and improved vehicle, the FX...so my QX may live on with me in a new model. -_-

It was beautiful when i got it, and for years until unfortunately time took a toll. It still looks pretty good, but if u know what ur lookin for...yikes! LOLpathfinder9035 wrote:awesome. sad to see the beutiful q go. oh well now u got a kick A*S fx35 and blow by tuners at the light!!
Well this all took place over the weekend. I didn't pick it up yet. It was a spur of the moment decision. Well i've been thinking about it, but never took action cuz i didn't think it was the right time. But if you can somehow make it here for tomorrow i'll trade the corners with ya!Qxxx4 wrote:totally understandable....i wish you would have informed us sooner i would have traded those clear corners with you!!! dammit! well please visit the pathy/qx4 forums still dont abandon us! and we want pics of the fx asap. Ok so as far as the corners go...i'm not picking up the truck till the 8th so if somebody wants to come swap i''m willing. I'd rather do a person to person swap vs. shipping them out though...
I will miss my truck dearly, it was my first car and i've had it for over 8 yrs. But i still have my memories
And also getting married from what I hear, so ease off the leg humping guys.99QX4 wrote:

I know what you mean though, I've been having the same feelings as of late. Every time some new little "issue" pops up, I have to stop and think hard if I really want to bother with keeping it running.99QX4 wrote:... Yep, i'm engaged. And hey now, i've been lacking in posts all over the forum! I've been so busy with school work that i can barely plan things for the wedding!SnowSurfLax wrote:

We'll miss you lauren, even with your lack of posts in here.
I went that route already, i've been looking for the newer model QX but haven't had any luck. When i happened to come across one they were usually not in great condition.SnowSurfLax wrote:But, unlike you, I'm thinking of trading it in for a cherry '03 QX4, IF I can find one.
But, Good luck with the FX! At least you'll be branded as a QX4 owner for life on NICO via your user name!
congrats sounds like hes one lucky man!99QX4 wrote:

One of our local car dealers has a 2003 with 82,000 miles on their TV commercial right now for $10,995. I looked at the pics and it looks as beautiful as any other Q.SnowSurfLax wrote:But, unlike you, I'm thinking of trading it in for a cherry '03 QX4, IF I can find one.
