So here is the deal, the car has a td05-14b and a ridiculously large external wastegate and the boost is at 15psi. The motor has an 84 200sx 4 puck cluth on it with a stock pressure plate so it was bound to happen sooner or later. So my question is do I just try and find an upgraded pressure plate or just call it a day and get a brand new clutch kit (is cuzan still around) like spec or something. Oh yeah forgot to describe what happens...ok so this is what happens when im pushing the car and it revs past like 5500rpm it just slips and the revs just jump. Its not always exactly 5500rpm but you get the idea. It kinda pissed me off cause I was gonna race this STi the other day and it slipped in a 2nd to 3rd gear shift and he basically left me standing still. I'm not saying the outcome would have been different if the clutch had not slipped but still pissed me off . Well let me know.

nothing but bad things from SPEC, get a KA kit and drill out the bolt holes a bit and pull a locator pin off the CA flywheel.

yeah I read the thread about float6969 having a problem with a spec cluth kit but there were also other threads with ppl using them with no problems. I'll go the ka route if I must and a friend mine says he can get me one at damn near free. Guess I'll do some more searching

It's something about the CA kit. I think there are 2 other people on here with SPEC clutch kits and they slip as well. The SR guys don't seem to have any problems and they are super popular with the mustang crowd as well.

Regardless, I won't be putting another SPEC clutch on my CA.

Centerforce Dual Friction for the KA.

I have a spec stage 5 clutch and it sucks, do not get it. If you do want a Spec I can sell you mine. It has a Toda flywheel with it.

Man, I hope you're not slipping that stage 5. I'd be more pissed than I am about it now.

It wasn't slipping just rolling in the power, but it would slip and not catch if I pop the clutch to initiate a drift in 3rd or sometimes 2nd.
