here goes the question.....

at the tip of the injector there is a little plastic piece and the the little rubber seal...well on one of the 370's the little plastic is missing, but the rubber is still there....do i need that little plastic piece....IF I DO can i take off the plastic off of one of the stock ka injectors...will that work fine or what...and BTW i'm using new o rings........

I think its called the pittle cap. I dont know if the caps from the stock injectors and the SR injectors interchangable...

on my local forum....once guy did use the ka ones on the 370's...i'm going to go to the dealer......

These are called pintle caps, BTW. They do little more than to protect the expensive pintle during handling and keep the lower o-ring from falling into the manifold, on some designs, when you pull them out. IMHO you can run with or w/o them as they have no effect on spray pattern or delivery. At the most, they may insulate the pintle from the intake temps but if steel can't handle the temp, I don't see how plastic will - it just doesn't get that hot in their location.

If you're really careful, you can take the ones off your KA injectors... I did that when I had 370s, as one of the little "fingers" on the caps was broken off. You can also get new ones at the dealer (I believe), but I wouldn't worry too much about it, as stated above they don't affect the spray pattern
