so I start to have this problem where it doesn't wanna start sometimes running really rich due to a broken o2 sensor. wouldn't start at all a little bit ago after I drove it on and off all day. Tried for thirty minutes, pulled the plugs all of them were fouled. Switched out with new plugs and still does the same thing just turns over checked all the fuses, replaced distributor cap, rotor, and button not even 2 months ago. Wires aren't the greatest but they haven't failed me yet since I'm tight on money. Got a **** load of people to push it and popped the clutch and it finally started and runs great minus the fact it won't start after daily driving on and off. A lot of times it seems to start to quick, it will start as soon as the key is turned and sputter then stay on. Then sometimes it will turn on and the idle will go up then drop down and the car will die. Lately its seems my idle is sketchy going up to 1500 at random times. PLEASE ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

EDIT. replacing coil tomorrow, possible culprit.

update took longer than it usually does to start backfires a whole lot more getting fuel, compression was 175 on all four cylinders

then info you gave isnt very discriptive but by the sounds of it. the car is running far to rich on start up which normally means one of a few things on that car which is a coolant temp switch, leaky injectors, or maf. if possible do some more diagnosis like compressing test, spark test, vaccum leak test and test your injectors with a noid light. let me no what you find

thanks. yeh I was running really rich how do I go about checking for vaccumn leaks and where can I find a noid light. since I did recently remove the egr bull**** could be a vaccumn leak. compression was 175 on all four cylinders.

use brake cleaned or carb cleaner and spray it on any vaccum hose u can find while the engine is running if there is a change in idle you found your problem and as far a pickin up a noid light, most parts stores should have them or can get them, keep me posted on what you find
