impul makes it. i just looked it up and its for the 1.5.manvan wrote:they do have that tiida supeercharger, i forget who makes it though, its only for the 1.6L though.... hmm does that mean itll fit on the cheaper versa, the new model
I believe that kit is for the HR engine, not the MR.manvan wrote:they do have that tiida supeercharger, i forget who makes it though, its only for the 1.6L though.... hmm does that mean itll fit on the cheaper versa, the new model
Apparently the engine can't go very far as said by some of the commenters. This is not the type of car you modify or do swaps of any kind on. No one has done any sort of mod to the 1.8 or 1.6 Versa other than Fox Marketing, that I know of.SuperTurbo wrote:What I want to find out is who did that kind of mod... Like how many cars did end up with a Turbo or Charger, or even an Engine swap.
So far, no one seems to be able to answer me these few questions, is the CVT transmission of Versa = the one from Sentra SER (NON Spec V)
Other than that, for those cars who did that Turbo mod, what have they change? Speically the engine internal...
Everyone knows Versa isn't a sport car, but... if no one do those testing, no one will know how far the engine, speically the transmission can go...
Well said. With that in mind. I'm just starting to mod mine. I can't wait to see where are V's are next year!BlueMango wrote:This is just frustrating. There is no reason why the Versa can't be a performance vehicle. The problem is that unlike a Honda the parts don't exist yet and you'll have to be a bit more creative or have a bit more money. At one point or another every vehicle started here where we are. With very few or no parts and it took people time work and figure it out. Okay so that's the end of my rant, no hard feelings just sick of always hearing "you shoulda bought a honda".
On another note, if there are people seriously interested in doing these types of mods then you need to try and coordinate with a reputable tuning shop or larger company so it can be done right. Let's see how it goes. Maybe if "Go Versas" start showing up more parts will as well.
actually, you can throw it around a lot. ive taken the V to several solo2 events with some other members on this forum and it handles magnificently, you would be suprised on really how well the car is, i didn't know the car could handle and perform so well.Red Devil wrote:The Versa is a tall vehicle. Not good for trying to throw it around corners. It was made to have a decently low C/D to increase mpg.
I could go on and on...
i can agree w. that, my gf has a mazda6 and i took her car, as well as my friends civic hb.mightyversa wrote:Oh and as to saying Civic HB and Mazda 3's are fast, thats bull****, my V is faster than a Mazda 6 and I am NOT bull****ing, I dragged my buddies last night and I was the victor, not by a mile, but maybe half a car length.

Although I usually don't agree with Red on a lot of stuff, I HIGHLY doubt that a V can beat a MS3. I would even go as far to say that even if the V was turboed it couldn't beat the MS3. The speed 3 is one of if not the best cars out there in its class.Red Devil wrote:I never said a stock Civic or Mazda 3 was faster than a Versa. A Mazdaspeed3 is. You can also easily modify Civics to be faster because of the aftermarket support. I mentioned the civic because you can modify it fairly easy to be faster.
