Upon visual inspection, 2 of the bolts and the rust securing them detached from the firewall.
My truck is named rusty for a good reason. Every time I hit a bump, it loses a pound of iron oxide.
At this point, I'm trying to decide if I should hone my sheet metal and riveting skills to make a manual wiper assembly using a 1/4" universal and 2" pipe and/or use Rain X
Strangely, the bed has almost no rust.... go figure.
