Or take it to a glass shop and have them just do a re-install with a seal kit. Prolly run about 100-120

lol take it to the next town over then.... RTV in the gap wont look good, but if it works go for it. Any decent glass shop could take care of it in 2 hours.

my cousins own their own auto glass business. one of them replaced my pitted windshield with new glass and all new weather stripping. i watched the whole process. i wouldn't recommend doint it unless you knew what you were doing. there are primers and adhesives and special tools involved. ask around for a major reputable auto glass company and just have them do it.

Which car do you need them for, any Nissan dealer should be able to get them.

NX1600, which I believe is a 91 sentra.

Part #'s

72761-50Y05 LH72760-50Y05 RH

If its the s14, then you are gonna need a glass shop, they are gonna need to remove the glass, and the part # for the stripping that goes all the way around the glass's part # is...

72750-65F00 For both sides.

I dont know why you would buy those from anyone but Nissan. This is really a no brainer. Buy the mouldings, take them to a glass shop and get it done by a PROFESSIONAL. Why in the world would you go putting RTV in the channel and thinking that that is acceptable. Take it to a glass shop and get it done right the first time. They are avail from Nissan, so, stop with the b****in and get it done.

are you talking about the metal trim around the window or the weather seal underneath. the metal trim isn't necessary, it just looks nice.

he's got an s14, there is no metal trim around the windshield, it's plastic/rubber/whatever weatherstripping.

No offense, but read the post completely and look to see what kind of cars the OP has before just throwing a response out there. It doesnt even say he owns an s13.

My s14 is missing the metal clips on the front & I just noticed a leak right above my fuse box. Or at least it is running down that way. I'm taking it to a shop, s13 or s14 please don't RTV it... I've seen too many good looking nissans until you walk up close and see the ugliness of RTV around the windows... It can make a good car look horrible and a OK car look just plain nasty.

I know how it is having shady shops in your town, you don't want to take it to anyone anymore. Take the advice everyone is giving you and drive to the next town or farther if you have to. Please don't ruin the looks of another nissan!

How much to install the weather stripping across the front windshield and the weather stripping in the back?

i do need a new windshiled but....

It's just so much easier to have it professionally done, Instead of caking on silicone yourself
