I worked for a Honda dealership, it's actually a VERY functional car, especially in AWD trim. TONS of interior room, easy controls, not too underpowered, I can wash out the damn interior with a garden hose, etc. I swear I could have moved my whole apartment with just that one car.

hell yeah, I've already pimped a Mrs. Winner's box truck!

I personally like the Element, though I'd want the higher horse AWD model, I find the almost entirely waterproof interior a plus, imagine the ease of clean up if you were to make a p0rn site that revolved around having sex while going down the road, or uh....just got in it really muddy...

the lack of a b pillar when all 4 doors are open is neat to

Is it built on a chassis or is it unibody?

The Element needs less plastic and less halfass marketing to "Gen-Y". The purchasers are middle aged women and even older men. No one I know would ever buy one. The folks I know are 18-30 -- the target audience.

personally, i like it...everything trpower7 says is true...we have an AWD Ex model...it's quite nice, pulls nicely when u get on it...dosent roll too much considering it's size...great sound system for a sub 20k car...i love that waterproof thing...i drooled on a seat to test it while we were at the dealership...my dad smacked me :pface

all in all...it's the new-school shaggin wagon

it's probably a unibody, like a new version of the CR-V, but I really don't know, just an uneducated guess

It's a unibody, on the CRV platform. No B-pillar, etc, interior is nicely equipped (certainly no UHAUL), I think it could be crazy functional for peopel that use it that way.

I find them extremely ugly, but other than that it seems like a nice, functional car. Honda has a well-deserved reputation for reliability, and resale value should be good a few years down the road.

Personally, I'd do something else with my ~$20K, but then again I'm not in the market for a small SUV-ish thing.

true, the first $20,000 i get is going towards a R32 GT-R or some other sport car.

IE in the time it takes your element to make 1 trip full of crap the evo can make 3 trips and still haul the same amount;)

this comparison really doesnt make any sense, a sub $20K mini-SUV vs a 27K turbo sport sedan. If your in the market for a little cargo hauler, your not going to buy a EVO or anything remotely similar.
