Yeah. About 5:30 or 6:00 this morning, the fire alarm goes off. I figure it's just another fire drill until I get down the stairs, and the entire first floor is under about an inch and a half of water. Turns out a pipe busted underneath the barracks, and flooded the first deck. Doesn't sound too bad, right? Wrong.

The pipe busting washed out the foundation underneath the barracks, making the building unstable. It's now a condemned building. Great. So now we're sitting in the Recreation center on base, waiting to be told where we're going to live next. I'm officially homeless for the next few hours.

And.... A cruel joke that God decided to play on me:

That's right. I found a four leaf clover while standing outside of my newly condemned place of residence.

So yeah guys..... That's how my day is going. How is yours?

Not sure why, but I originally read the thread title as "So my buttocks flooded today". Given that, I suppose your day could be worse? :gotme

My cousin (F18 driver) lives on the N side of Lemoore so I'd probably go stay with him.

However, that might not work for you.

DAMN! A whole building condemned...

Start making horror/ghost stories so when noobies arrive all they see is a run down building that hasn't been touched.

Wow, I know California is pretty lenient about federal marijuana law enforcement, but I didn't know people would post stuff like this on the net...

What's all that green blobby stuff in the water on the floor?

You're almost guaranteed at least one terrible experience with housing/living accommodations in the military. No AC in Saudi while living in a tent, no heat in Iceland when CE crapped the bed, in Afghanistan my tent community caught on fire, etc. I could go on an on about bad living experiences in my time in the USAF.

That was actually the carpet. The brown was the foundation, which is now spread out through the entire first floor.

I'm now moved into the barracks as far away from the one I used to live in as possible. Literally the other side of the base. It's much, much nicer here, and My roommate is cool as all hell, from what I can tell. Not to mention his squadron goes on boat det this week for a month, and deployment a month after they get back. PARTY IN MY ROOM!

Had my water pipe burst in the NCO barracks @ Humphreys Korea, and it flooded my place, my neighbors room, and the dude below me. All my stereo stuff, the bottom shelves of books, and half of my laundry were fukkd. Yeay reimbursement tho, it payed for at least a weeks worth of booze. And I moved to the building behind mine, and got a great roommate. He never used his rations card, so he let me go shopping, heh.
