29/36 with the 3.5? You must be mistaken. not even the 2.5 is advertised to get that good MPG

19/26(CVT) and 19/27 (manual) is the advertised 3.5. I average around 22mpg around town

Dont know about that, this is my second tank , 2.5 CVT and I'm about three quarters of the way through with 17.8mpg right now.. all city driving with a lot of stops .. still though, I really need to curb the lead-foot mentality.

Try reducing your speed to 55-60 mph and see how much better MPG you get

I get about 22 or 23 on my 3.5 sedan, around town. On the only trip I've taken, I got 600 miles out of 18.5 gallons. That was doing a lot of driving around 75, plus some city driving, and running the A/C. (that's 32 mpg) Maybe when the weather is cooler, it might get better. It only has about 4,000 miles on it.

I dont know about you guys but.. My Canadian coupe has its readings in L per 100km, so the lower the bar the better.

I usually average around 9-10 l per 100km when im cruising.

And it would be fun to see how much more gas your're using under hard acceleration instead of just 30.

I'm getting 23.5-23.1 MPG. It only goes up if I'm highway driving.I just think the large scale and value of graphic meter is too large for a car that says it will only get 19/26. :p

It's just a graphic tease, or maybe a guilt trip for not going hybrid.... or maybe a foreshadowing that Nissan will make it hybrid.

Either way, I hope there's a way in the future to get that higher.

What am I doing wrong??? Even driving it like a madman ( which I don't reallly do) shouldn't give me the low mpg that im getting. The only reason I went with the 2.5 was to satiate my wifes demand for fuel economy, so I hope it gets better. Still at 500 miles on odometer..

CVT 2.5I drive fast, but I don't accelerate as fast as others. My RPM meter occasionally hits 3.

Coming from an Toyota Fj Cruiser where I was getting 15 on the highway, I've learned to appreciate good MPG. I average 24 - 25 on the highway on my 3.5 CVT. Cruise is set to 70mph for the 35 mile commute. Glad I got rid of that gas pig!
