so many problems, please help

ok, just bought a 92 240sx with 153,000, and its been well beaten.

I have a ratteling coming from under the valve cover, i was told its the lifters, my tail lights keep blowing fuses, brake lights and blinkers work but my parking lights, side markers and gauge cluster dont light up and blow the fuse.

Also my car squeaks like a bastard. To me the lights are the most important thing, if the motor goes it goes, im putting in the sr20det anyways and i have a winter beater. If you know how to fix my little light problem it would be much accpeciated.

Also my car is running hot, but seems to cool down after a few, has a new headgasket at 145,000ish

Also im running rich and it smokes a bit, smells bad, how can i fix that?

i m not an expert, but from general physics knowledge, i believe it is a high resistance in wires, so fuse goes bad.

besides 92 240sx shouldn't be bad u know.

get a service manual from ebay for $8 in *.pdf format. you'll be much happier.
