first thing first, i got a 1990 240sx HB... so here goes nothin:

currently i'm riding on some kyb gr2's with eibach sportlines all round... i got my stock 15" steelies and some new falken rubber. now after apparently "lowering" my car, i still got like a solid 3" gap (if not more) between the tire and wheel well in the front, and maybe 1.5" of clearence in the back.

the reason why i'm looking at coilovers is cause i wanna get rid of that wheel gap and also improve the handling. the eibach's that i have installed are supposed to give me 2.5" of drop in the front, but it doesn't even look close. compared to my buddy's S13 with JIC FLT-A1US's, mine looks like a frickin monster truck. why is that even though the JIC's claim a 2.5" drop as well? (his is a 91' btw)

so if you can answer that question then, here's my next one... i'm looking at JIC FLT-A1US, but why are the FLTA2's so much more expensive? and also, the KTS coilovers and the Kei Office TE's seem like an excellent choice but how do their ride heights compare to the JIC's?

i'm in this for both performance and looks, so cutting the springs isn't something i wanna do.

thanks to anyone who can answer any of my questions!

Usually coilover ride heights are adjustable. Ive seen some that advertise a 1-3" drop.

The JIC A2's have 16 way adjustable damping while the A1US are 5 way adjustable. Both claim a drop of 0.5-2.5".

I wouldnt buy either of those JIC coilovers without trying out the cheaper KTS, K-sport, or D2 first. IIRC, Theyre under $1000.

so i'm probably gonna get the KTS's but until then, i got another problem that needs dealing with:

the rear right side rides about 1" higher than the rear left. now i haven't replaced the rear shocks yet, they are probably pretty old... is this most likely the reason for the imbalance? and if i buy new rear shocks will it fix the problem?

just a theory...its probably the worn shocks. I would think the drivers side would sit a little lower cause theres usually more weight on that side of the car...

well i guess so, IWannaS15's theory is probably right in that there is generally more weight on the drivers side, which is the side that is sittin lower...

well that sounds like a good enough reason to me, i guess i'll get new shocks in the rear, until i can afford the KTS's of course :P
