Damn nice, congrats. Did you trade your AC as is or return it back to stock? Get a good deal?

I traded it in, as is. The only piece I could have taken out was the head unit, and I didn't have a use for that since the G has the navigation package. I'm pretty sure I got my money back from the upgrades in the trade price.

I rolled by the Infiniti dealership Sunday to see if my old Altima coupe was for sale on their lot, and it was. I took a peek in the window to make sure it was my old one, and was disappointed to see a hole in the dash where my JVC KW-nt3hdt used to be:

I was surprised they would take that unit out and try to sell that car without a head unit, but figured I'd call them and see if they wanted the stock radio which has been collecting dust in my closet for a year. Anyhow, turns out the head unit had been stolen, and they do want the stock radio. I took it to them Monday, and they are supposed to be cutting me a check for $50 at some point, I may end up getting that in the mail. Turns out they didn't know the JVC was missing until I called them, but they explained they had been having a problem with theft... I hope they don't think I had something to do with that, but honestly I don't have any use for the old head unit anymore. I guess I should have realized that was what happened, when I looked in again I noticed the air conditioning control module was gone too I guess they will have to get a new one of those and the mounting bracket for that whole assembly. I told them that was my worst nightmare for the past year, but at least it's not my problem any more. I felt a little bad for not taking the faceplate off and locking it in the glovebox when I delivered it to them, but hindsight is 20/20 I suppose.

Im pretty sure its not theft. My brother used to work for a dealership as an aftermatket alarm installer and they were always told to take out any aftermarket products from the vehicles. Im thinking that one of the employees just came up on your stereo. Your are always better off taking any aftermarket products off the car before you trade it in because dealership dont give you more money for the things you have installed in your car

That was my original assumption actually, but why would they have a car for sale on the lot with no radio or ac controls in it? It was all detailed and had a sticker in the window...

If I trade in my car, IF, I would settle for nothing less than a GTR. Nice car but I've seen just so much of them lately, all "S" models and a few "IPL" models. Is there a promotion or something going around?

Not that I know of, I hardly ever see them around here. There are a lot of new owners lately of the 2008-2009 models that were leased. Those are probably what you see more of lately. And yeah I'd love to own a GTR, but honestly that will probably always be out of my price range. It is a better car than the G sure, but not twice as good like the price would indicate. Plus the maintenance on those is ridiculous.
