i got the car to start up finally today, i bypassed the emanage blue unit, apparently there is an internal issue with my emanage blue either the unit itself has an issue, or the firmware had an error loading and didnt load properly.

Either way, it runs.

Issues to conquer now.

- I have too weak of a spring in my wastegate and its staying slightly open, just enough to create a small exhaust leak. (FIXED)

- my timing is 1 tooth retarded on both cams so i need to re time it, not a big deal

- power steering isnt working, gotta double check the lines, but i did notice the resivoir was empty, but the pump wasnt screaming so i dunno lol. (FIXED)

- key on engine off, fuel pressure is 60psi. key on engine on fuel pressure at IDLE is 80psi. Im gonna stick my STOCK fpr on temporarily to get the car to chill out on fuel, but i think i need a new FPR, this one was used and i guess the diaphram may be shot. I cannot remember for the life of me which Aeromotive one i need either haha. ANY HELP WOULD BE NICE =) (FOUND AN AEM GOING TO ORDER EVENTUALLY)

other than that, did a quick once over, there are no leaks, engine sounds HEALTHY, exhaust is very smooth sounding, im pretty freakin happy! my fiance JUST got herself a new job, and no ones really been biting on the fact that i was trying to sell it for quick money to get us in decent shape when we move to the new house, so im just gonna roll it in the garage and keep it i guess.

im going to try to find someone to chip tune my stock ECU to make up for the 750cc injectors and Z32 maf so all i really have to do with the emanage is play with the fuel and a little bit of timing. No real big deal

Phil

turbo is pouring oil out the backside now... just found it when i pulled it to change the wastegate spring today. turbo was freshly rebuilt before i put it on. This is the first time its seen any kind of oil pressure or power to it. Im going to say its a rebuild error and they incorrectly installed a seal. The front side is bone dry and theres no oil inside the manifold itself.

did u prime the turbo?

youu seem knowledgable but it sounds like u forgot to do this step. with any dry turbo u want to remove the drain line and unhook ur ignition so your car wont start and turn it over untill oil comes out the drain line this will ensue the turbo is oil before the car starts and makes the turbine go thousands of rpms, which if u didnt might of cause it to gernade a seal (has happend several time before to my friends) also what turbo u running and does it require a restrictor?

i did prime it. i just went up to the turbo shop and rebuilt the turbo about a half hour ago so thats taken care of, The seal on the backside was letting oil past for some reason. there was no shaft play at all on the turbo.

I use a -4 fitting in the oil inlet with the head chopped off and a .42 nitrous jet inserted, you would be suprised how well this works, there are alot of locals running the same way.

It is a precision sc61 60 trim (basicly a 60 trim T3T4) it does, from what im told require a restrictor, which is why i use the nitrous jet.

Or you can do it the cheap way like I did and tap out the inside of the fitting for a grub-screw with the right sized hole drilled in the middle of it with a bunch of red loctight on it.

Cost me about $1 and 30min of work.
