I knew you could do that, well I guess its not fair as I know people who have done that :)

IIRC downsides are a code and a slightly higher idle (which can be adjusted)...

I thought everyone knew that

Alas, I use a form of TopSecret's tuning software.this allows me to delete any unwanted codes, and also to set parameters where I like. Alan's idle is 500-600 RPM and his rev limiter has been raised to 7200. The speed governor is deleted as usual, and the car doesn't throw the low backpressure error from a free flowing exhaust and HotShot header.

No speed limiter, increased redline, and an improved fuel map.The ECU was tuned for my old car with a 5 speed automatic.

You want a challenge?

Blown 454 in Honda CRX, and make it a MR setup, but retain the FF and stock engine for daily driving. Plus make it rear wheel steering. Then get it to pass smog.... In Los Angeles.

MUAHAHAHAHA.

THAT. is a challenge.

For fear of getting lambasted for not searching, I almost didn't post this. Yet, my curiousity got the better of me, so here goes...

When does the speed limiter kick in on an S13 redtop with a 62 ECU? Also, is there a rev limiter? Any way to disable them without an ECU retune?

yep, and the only way to fix it is a re-tune else you will lose the speedo.

Q45.Remove the auto and replace it with a T56 from an F-Body and use a custom bellhousing.
