Very true, awesome song... that is assuming you're talking about "Say it Ain't So" :pface

Weezer is just an awesome band all around, and the Blue album rocks.

Buddy Holly and Island In The Sun are among my favorites. Island In The Sun was used as the bumper music for my radio show.

I'd have to say that my fav Weezer song is toss-up between "Only in Dreams", "Why Bother?" (gotta love the guitar in this one), and "Don't Let Go". But all the one's previously mentioned rock just as much...

Not a fan of Weezer, really. But then again, I'm not a huge fan of the punk/heavy rock genre.

How nice of you to assume when you know absolutely nothing. :)

I listen to pretty much everything but I am partial to jazz and classical. I like more mellow classic rock like Floyd, Zep, Hendrix, SRV, the Doors, etc etc.

As far as R&B and rap is concerned, I love a lot of the older stuff. The mid 90s was best for that genre. There is nothing wrong with getting it down to Boyz II Men and Keith Sweat. :D

Pinkerton is a really underappreciated album.

And "El scorcho" is a great song too.

I gotta disagree, I feel the 80's was the best for Rap, or early 90's. I don't much care for Gangsta...I prefer rapping about white castle and what Santa brought you in Hollis...you got a nice broad taste though...

for a broad anyway:D

I'm a huge fan of Pac, Big, Nas. This was before rap was all about "money, cash, hoes".

I have broad and impecable music taste for anyone my age. All I hear around here is DMB, Matchbox20, and all that other crap. (Don't get me wrong, some of their songs are good, but it shys greatly in comparison to real rock)

[unrelated] R&B is making a slow comeback. It went into hardcore suck-territory thanks to Usher's new album and some of the other crap that keeps me from listening to the radio. I thought the great american soul ballad was dead... but Alicia Keys saved it. Boyz II Men is making a comeback too.

There's something to be said for incredible voices, perfectly flowing lyrics, and good natural instrumentation. I think the same virtues could apply to good rock.

You did not just say Alisha Keys "saved" the great american soul ballad, no, please say you didn't.

Actually, today marks their 24th day (I think it's 24) of their Summer recording session. They're working on their fifth album, which they already have 12 songs laid out for it. Now, they are doing the vocal overlays and stuff like that. You can read more over on weezer.com...

whatcho talkin' bout? It was like that before, just not as lamely graphic with the way they go about it. Much better listening to Biz Markie rap about money and women the P Diddy.

Also, it seems the Beastie Boys have finally grown up:( (the new albums does kick *** though, New York is a great track)

but what would I know? I've got two Dangerous Toys albums and Poison's greatest hits.

I DO know that Forever by the Dropkick Murphys is a whoopass song however.
