i have a friend with a slick-top tt..yes, they cut the top off an n/a and welded onto the tt, completely reversed from what i hear the normal was.

but he told me about an blown n/a 5spd z32 coupe with awsome silver metallic paint, black interior. they're only wanting $500 for it. so im thinking if i walk there with 400 cash, i can have it on a flatbed and in the garage next to my 240 by the end of the day. sound too good to be true? i've yet to see it, he and my other friends have seen it already and tell me it looks great. i know they wouldn't shaft me on a deal like this.

so i was lookin around the other night, and i came upon a guy whos been doing ls1 swaps. got me pretty interested, so i was wondering if anybody here has done it and could chime in on how hard it is, i.e. how the trans lines up in the tunnel and all. its going to end up solely as a track car, so 90% of the engine equipment and electronics are going.

any info would be great, thanks in advanced

oh and heres peyman's car just for ****s and giggles (dont mind the paintjob, he bought it like this)

I think he means it has a blown motor!

and for $500 if the car hasn't been set on fire or rolled over is a heck of a deal, nto too many V8 swaps in the Z32. it's been done just easier to do the TT, the stock trans are pretty bug so a T56 should fit in wihtout issue

as for your frineds ugly car, if it's a real TT with the top swap as claimed the vin will read "JN1CZ" look for the "C" if the 4th digit is anything but a "C" it started life as an N/A

If that is truly how they did it.....that may be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. All that trouble for what? To eliminate the T-tops? One of the best features on the Z32 to save a couple pounds? Lame.

A top swap seems a little strange. Just swap a TT motor into a slicktop

Where are you guys finding Z's with bad/no motors??

yea sorry.blown haha..

its a true tt, the vin has already been done, an you can see the hicas when we put the springs on. that and the slick top was put on it..the previous owner did it for some retard reason, you can see a little bit of bondo fill hat wasn't smoothed properly before painting it. and it has the T-top trim on the inside, he did a pretty bad job of putting headliner material where the glass was. and the owner was an idiot and painted the center section of the lights in the back, shaved the 3rd tail light and everything.

some people got some weird tastes. i mean the car was a blue flake metallic before the guy painted over with that banana/piss yellow.

and athis isn't the only car i've found. quite a few 300s out here, not a lot peopl epeople do crap with imports...well good that is, im not counting coffee can civics with autopwn wings. i mean i went to the junkyard wenesday, saw a 2-tone piggy, production #2 of the 88 for that year with just a wrecked front bumper, had everything still there but the engine..a perfect z31 tubro hanging out, no rust, nothing wrong with it other than a couple dents..but now i cant buy i since they burn the titles..damn junk yards

hillbillies..thats all i gotta say im in columbia righ tnow, i'll get pictures of the top for you, its crazy
