well its in the car wired up and awaiting its first crank, but  it wont even crank. its a 90 with a auto to 5speed swap, so i think its in the auto 2 5speed swap thats casuing it not to crank. but i cant figure it out,. also i cant get the clutch to bleed right. . im so close to having it finished but with the very very little time i have i dont know if ill have it done in time,

anyone have experiance with the auto to manul wiring ? ill post some pictures soon, the wiring is way cleaner then mine !@!! but the harness has been hacked some.

big thumbs down to showdown motorsports in toledo for ripping off the customer sayign hes getting acomplete swap then me having to dissasemble my motor just to have all the crap to get it near runnign.

bro ,i hope you have your FSM memorized and ready to get dirty and walk around campus alot cause these motors are trouble till you have them done right

Jon...

Did you leave the clutch dampner box in? It's literally a box on the passenger side frame rail that will go into the slave cylinder? If you did, you will NEVER get the system bled right. Just unhook the clutch line from the master cylinder going into the box, gently bend it towards the slave cylinder, and hook the rubber line from the slave cylinder into that new bent hard line. Voila! Clutch box bypassed, 3 pump bleeding, and a much better feel on the clutch pedal when it is engaged.

Also. If you don't have the Neutral Safety Switch taken care of, the car will think it is in neutral all the time, and not start either. There is also a switch on the top of the clutch pedal that will basically let the ecu know that the clutch is depressed and can be started now.

Just a few things to look at. Usually fresh eyes help out.

It's in the neutral safety switch and needs to be jumped/bridged.

hmm...I left the neutral safety switch disconnected on my CA transmission, and it made no difference at all that I can tell. exactly what purpose does it serve on a 5spd transmission?

float, 40$ for that chip you want ill even throw in a socket for the chip.

well i got everything almost completed today,

the only way to start the car is to turn the ign on and then take the two wires i jumped (twisted togther) and touch them to the black with yellow tracer thats goin down to tha starter! it wont work off the key. any ideas?

other then that im goin to finish up the exhaust and tighten everything down on it and its time for a couple shakedown drives.

Jon, I think you've got something wrong w/the wiring by the battery tray, or you have a bad relay somewhere. I don't have my FSM w/me so I cant' look at anything right now.

I'll post a dyno when I get the new turbo on. I'm hoping for about 220 at the wheels.
