So I jumped right into my power valve screw maintenance work this morning half in the bag. I got my hoses, air intake system out of the way, and throttle body and engine cover off and went to see what was next and it looks like Im ready to pull the upper manifold and I guess the lower one comes off to. Theres 13 bolts holding it on, I guess I can take them off just going in a criss cross pattern but I cant find in the manual where it says the RETORQUE order or even what ft/lbs to put them to....

I just came in from taking my kid to dance class so hopefully I can have this done before she needs to be picked up or I'll have to be calling mom lol!!

Pics soon im sure cause Im bouncd to get stuck on something!!

found a sweet post on niopora and i guess I did the right valves, the guy on that forum just took the whole intake off to do it, no need, removing the top allows for just fine access

Im glad I did this mod though, 5 of the 8 screws were "less" than hand tight, and 2 were already partially backed out!! I dont think it would have made it much loonger (100k miles on my rig)

Glad you found what you were looking for. Did you take any more pictures of the process?

Cool. What gaskets did you need to order to accomplish?

None, the oem gaskets are really good metal and looked brand new after I wiped them with a terry cloth. As long as you dont rip them or damage them when removing the upper intake ( I just undid the 13 bolts and tapped it lightly with a rubber mallet and it popped loose, pulled straight up) and the gaskets should be re-usable.

The throttle body gasket is good quality metal to, but it had indentations from where the throttle body was torqued against it, I re-used mine, but that may be one you could replace. I did this job on a whim after reading the sticky so I just didnt have any of the gaskets.
