I have recently decided to invest a little coin and clean up the bay a little bit. As it sits right now, it is all kinds of....not aesthetically pleasing. I am working with a KA E by the way, all emmissions removed.Problem is I have wires and tubes scattered somewhat randomly.I have ordered a bunch of stuff, and will be ordering more stuff as I find what I am looking for. But heres what is really bothering me.The passenger side of the engine bay has so much more crap than the driver side. Here's what I was thinking: move the power steering system to the driver side. At first I thought the obvious, use the pump and reservoir off a DE. Then I thought of something more direct. Use the pump off a Stanza. It uses the same KA E as the 240, but runs a DE crank to shorten the nose of the engine as it is fwd. An aluminum pulley for a DE can then be used to run the accessories. The pump and brackets should bolt up to the rwd head as physically I have noticed no differences between the 2 outside of the cam driven distributor; and I can only assume the reservoir off an S13 DE should work on my driver side. I figure a high pressure hose could be made up to bolt straight to the rack and a return line could also be made up.Is this Texas heat finally getting to me or could this maybe work? I will be heading to my friendly neighbor hood Pick A Part here shortly.
