If you can call it a race.

The beast....-

Story is i was driving to wall mart on a pretty unoccupied street. I saw some taillights turning the same way i was going and thought it was a 240 hatch.

Dead wrong.

The guy takes off and i play catch up. Then on another 4 lane back road i drove to about his rear bumper at normal speed and he just took off. We were going like 20 miles an hour when he did, the guy must of got to 100mph or more when I barley reached 60:( I slowed down when i got to 65. He was ahead by at least 15 car lengths. Probably more.

I gave up. I mean its a friggin Viper. Normally nobody would be stupid enough to mess with that but no more then 10 Min's before i found out that some jackass stole some stuff from my car. I was very pissed and wasn't thinking straight.

Still at least i lost, i mean got completely obliterated, by a very nice car.

So i think the moral is dont try to go past a Viper when you have a pretty much stock KA and rims and tires and cases of oil in the backseat and trunk.

Kinda like the V6 'Stang that tried to play with me (boosted CA at 11psi and goodies) and a '03-'04 Cobra (yes, the SC'ed one) on the highway yesterday. LOL. Nice that you admit that you were not thinking clearly when taking on that beheamouth.....esp. where it reigns supreme on big open stretches of tarmac.

Bet it sounded wicked though

hehe..sounds like the other day..I was drivin' down from a buddies house after looking at a new car..and i was in mom's KIA. So i see a 2004 Corvette Z06

I passed him..he passed me, i passed him..he blew by me and i never saw him till the next light...some things are just fun to "play" with.

Let's look at the difference shall we?

2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z065.7L 405 hp V8405 @ 6000 RPM400 @ 4800 RPM

6Speed Manual.

2003 KIA Rio RS1.6L 104 hp I4104 @ 5800 RPM104 @ 4700 RPM

4Speed Automatic

..But at least i kick his *** in the gas milage department

My question is how could you mistake a viper for a 240? Even if you weren't thinking straight!

Yesterday I race a little girl on a bicycle.

She was a cool little kid...we were both at a stop sign (she was on the sidewalk) and she was looking at me so I revved at her and smiled. She smiles back, and gets in a real low aerodynamic position on her bike (I think it was a Magna). She killed me off the line, but I got her at the top of 1st .

Are you kidding man, the Kia Rio rocks, it's like a miata with a backseat and 0 coolness factor. I should know, my mom has one also.

I just saw the tailights from far away and they looked kinda like a 240's, so i thought it was one. I got within about 300 feet of it and just said damn.

That is great, you made my weekend!

Anyway, I usually only try to pick on nice expensive cars & try to follow them at least, just for the hell of it. If you lose, it's no big deal cuz you're not suppose to beat these cars... but when you win, WHOOOO HOOOO.

And the best part is when i take a passenger (no real racing, just fun fast driving), I tell him/her "My car has more hp/$ - his car costs 30x as much but only 2x as fast - he got ripped." hehehe.

Glad I could brighten your weekends

I'll keep the camera in the car so if I come across her again I can get pics. Word on the street is she has it in the shop getting some handlebar tassles installed.
