Im trying to work out a deal with my neighbor to get his car for cheap. Help him move, pack things, sell other things to ppl i know, fix his truck... all that sorta stuff

Hes gonna move in 3-4months once his house sells. He has no place for his car in Wisconsin, ****ty roads, icy... plus ive liked it since he got it

Anywhew, the car is a '93 Lexus SC300! very reliable, quick, fun, and plenty of creature comforts! This will allow me to set aside more down time to get the pulsar in better running mustang destroying shape.

One friend of mine said im crazy... but i much rather drive the lexus as it is and finish the pulsar the way i want. My pulsar is already faster and handles in another class.... so i figure jsut keep it going

Oh, i forgot to mention... it's a 5speed. very rare on these cars it seems, ive seen like 5 of them all autos.

maybe one day in the future once im done with the pulsar, MAYBE ill slap a turbo on the 2JZ and rock that... but that wouldnt be for awhile if ever.

oh and no giant ugly chromies on this lexus, nice polished 17's instead.

Yeah, 5 speed is rare on those. I was asking my buddy who works at Toyota about those cars and his only complaint was that if something goes wrong inside the doors its almost impossible to get in there....not sure why. Anyhow...I'd rock it as a DD....but check the insurance rates since its a "2 door" and is RWD.

nope, I used to have it, but had a bad experience with them so I dropped it. Long story short, I had a break in, they tried to steal it, messed up the gauge cluster and steering column. The factory alarm kept them from getting it. They got mad ripped out my stereo (damaging the center console and dash). Insurance company took 5months just to end up denying my claim. Said that I did all the damage just to get some money out of it. Deductable was 1000 bucks and the damage done was 1150. Fvcking idiots. State Farm by the way

I have State Farm and I am on very friendly terms with my agent and his employees, they take care of me. Also, my deductable is just a few hundred, so anything major I'm good.

I recommend that whenever someone gets insurance, go with someone they can see face to face and get to know. Pay in person and chat when you do until they know your name when you show up without asking. If the agent or their employees are not friendly, go someplace else.

My rates are pretty good considering I had several speeding tickets (though it's been a few years and I've turned 25 since, so it's even less), though that is helped that originally I was on my Dad's plan with them and when he moved to Austin they just split me off his; they also knew him by sight.

If I'm ever stuck (car breaks down, etc) I can give them a call and they'll get me a tow or whatever I need sent my way. I like my State Farm agent & worker bees, they good people.

Well my agent and I sat down face to face and he swore that he would take care of everything. A few weeks went by and I called him at the office and he told me the same. So a few more weeks go by and you know they leave their home phone number on the cards that the send you, I called that and he was a complete d!ck. All in all it took 5months for them to deny a very small claim. Half that time they had my car. For weeks they BS'd me until they finally said they can't start the claim because they can't get into my car. Mind you the cars locks were punched in rendering them unable to be locked. So much BS from them I actually don't have any insurance. Why should I pay someone for when something may happen, then it does and they can't do ****?

OH Ya, get the lexus!

Hell yeah they are, I vacationed in houston and corpus christi for a few days each and everyone was nicer and seemed to be way happier. It was in july too, wasn't even that humid I don't think.

See though, the thing about good old MA here... is that all insurance is mandated. Prices are the same across the board, and everyone MUST have it. you cannot register you car without it

But oh yeah, im getting it once the funds are gathered. sadly, that means the pulsar WONT be finished soon.. but ill take a reliable DD over the intoxicating bov sound

You have to have insurance here too, but the rates would vary based on your record, your a/s/l, and the insurance company...

Doesn't mean everyone does tho
