Congratulations! You did the same exact thing that happened to me when I replaced my head gasket. I just heli-coiled it, but the thread pitch/size is a really off the wall one. It's going to be hard to find. And I know whenever I found mine it ended up costing around $75, so prepare for it to be expensive.
All things considered though it did fix the problem, and I never had any touble with it coming out or breaking. And it beats having to buy a new head. Although I will say that since that happened, I would be hesitant to swap that head over to any other motor. So once that head is on, don't plan on taking it off without planning on a different head.
