We were out at Stoddard Wells, here in So Cal...just a place to ride in the desert where no cops or rangers bother anyone....hasn't rained there in about 2 weeks now....but I still found mud. Being from Florida and...well, a dude, I had to play..but my dirt bike isn't much fun for that...have to go fast enough to get through, but you only got 2 little skinny tires and it doesn't make much of a mess...so I grabbed my wife's Raptor 250 and tore through it...now mind you, she went through right before I did and it was beautiful...mud everywhere, started to bog, rolled on the throttle, flung **** all over the place and got out, making a fantastic mess. But when I went through, the thought process was more like "I have to make a bigger mess than she did...this will be sweet!" So, I hit the hole in 2nd gear, on the throttle hard and then something funny happened...the left side of the bike rode on the harder stuff and the right side went in the middle and the damn thing started to sink right under me...while I'm hauling balls. Right side slowed down, started to drag the quad to the right, while I'm doing like 20 mph....yeah, you get the idea, I rolled to the left side HARD..completely coated her quad in thick, sticky goo, not to mention myself...I had to strip down to my pants, boots, helmet and wifebeater, 'cause my goggles were hopelessly covered in crap and my jersey had so much muck on the arms that I could hardly lift them...The price of all this? I tweaked my left elbow pretty good, so my hand is all numb and tingly, and I CUT MY ***! Yep, right on the left butt cheek...caught a rock and cut my damn self. Of all the places. Then I had to sit on that very butt cheek to drive 2 hours home. Oh, the joy. All in all, though, for you fellow So Cal guys, Stoddard Wells is pretty sweet...saw some Jeep guys out there doing hill climbs, 4-by the whole way up, slinging crap everywhere...pretty neat. Just thought I'd share my humility with you...My *** hurts, but my pride is worse for wear.

I'm from Dunnellon....just south of Ocala...I sure do miss it, but...then again, "home" sounds awesome till you go there, see all your dumbass old "friends" still working the same dead-end job and still pulling the stupid **** they did 4 years ago....makes you realise that the military made you grow up pretty damn fast and you really don't belong there anymore.....so you move to Crystal River where no one knows you....LOL

And yeah, rain part II my ***....my wife is making me get her Christmas tree today, so she left me the damn Tacoma to go get it (since I'm on separation leave and really don't have anything else to do until I'm discharged from the Navy) and took my damn Pathy. It's dreary as hell here, but I hope it rains tomorrow....
