i replaced them with slotted and drilled rotors and some new pads
but when im going about 40 mph or above my steering wheel vibrates but the brake pedal feels smooth
can u help me out? please :yesnod

well im thinking the vibration might be coming from a bent rim..........i think

It can be a bent rim. Bad tire wear. Bad alignment.

Did you only replace the brake components and nothing with the wheels or tires? If so and you have aftermarket wheels, double check to make sure the wheels are centered on the wheel hubs. Did you rotate your wheels?

Ensure the rotor mounting surface and the hub is free of rust and debris. If you have a dial indicator, check the runout on the hub. then again with the rotor bolted to the hub to determine where the problem is. This is assuming that your wheels aren't bent up or not able to balance properly on a machine.

I had the same problem, did a 300zx brake upgrade and rims from a 300zx. I found that my torsion rod bushings were leaking ( stock jelly filled doughnut style) I repaced them with polyurethane and problem solved. With the bigger rims it made obvious problems that were already there stand out. Might be the same for you. Definitely made the car handle better! Check them doesn't hurt.
